Everybody: the narrator is awesome Me: Realizing the narrator is troy baker trying for a british accent. So majority of the reviews I've read haven't said anything about the comic book. The comic is not very good. Not popular, not well written, nothing ground breaking. The movie follows suit. Nothing overwhelming, nothing left wanting more. It's a unique story written in cliche format. The movie stays extremely close to the comic book.
Movie starts off with a narration format and leaves it instantly. Clunky storyboard. On a train the group have a dream and main character happens to hop off in the middle of the desert and find this person with just a backpack on. One group member sells them out and with one sentence from main character he has complete regret.
There isn't enough substance in the writing nor the music. This a below average movie from a below average comic book.

Who TF is giving this thumbs down. Watched this yesterday and Quynh's fate really left an impression in me. Imagine being trapped alone in a metal box in a cold and dark abyss drowning, suffocating, and dying over and over again for hundreds of years. It is truly terrifying. No amount of torture in the world could ever compare to this. This is the worst possible fate anyone could have had. I'm just glad the end-credit scene happened.

And pls for such a portrayal of warriors - u shd have gone all global - representation from Indian, Chinese, Roman, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, true African civilizations would have made a more interesting milieu.
